Hello there, Mini-Cassia! Please allow us to introduce you to something exciting and wonderful that starting today.
We are The Voice, with news, advertising and some downright great deals, and we are coming to you weekly, free, in your mailbox.
We live in a great community that has nearly 2,000 businesses within 30 miles of every home here. We recognize that what keeps our business community strong and viable is the support of local citizens. Therefore, we want to bring the businesses and the citizens together through our new publication – The Voice.
Who are we? We are a new, refreshing twist on news and advertising.
Mini-Cassia native Mike Ramsey is the owner/publisher of The Voice. With an extensive knowledge of social media, marketing and design, Ramsey also runs a nationally recognized internet marketing company called Nifty Marketing.
Michelle Campbell, whom you are most likely familiar with through her work with and dedication to Relay for Life, and who has worked extensively in news and advertising production, is our Production Manager. She will be designing and placing your ads, and our news stories, so our product, and yours, are attractive to everyone. Her expertise ensures you will get the advertising, and results, you are looking for.
Renee Wells, a 21-year veteran journalist, is the managing editor, who will manage the news content for The Voice and work to bring you up to date with the weekly news—some things that will entertain and enlighten you and some issues that affect you and your loved ones.
Starting today, The Voice will bring each home from Almo to Paul and Oakley to Minidoka, with all points in between, an opportunity to try out many of the goods and services our local businesses provide.
We also invite everyone to enjoy a free upbeat-unbiased version of the news happening in our community, with a special emphasis on three things – positive events, the youth, and the truth.
Editorially, we are beginning an epic journey into bringing all the residents of Mini-Cassia a fresh new look at our community, with courage to tackle tough local issues as well as new and interesting items. Here, you will get the opportunity to see both sides of each story and make your own decisions about what is right and wrong in Mini-Cassia.
You may also step up onto our Soapbox and tout the great things you appreciate about Mini-Cassia. You may also voice your concerns, if you are willing to do so without anonymity and agree to allow others the same privilege. Rest assured that we will check authenticity of letters when we receive them. Anonymous attacks on citizens will not be printed, and all parties involved will be provided the opportunity for comment.
Bottom line, you will be “safe” here – if you are doing nothing wrong.
Mini-Cassia is too great for the negative tenor, letters, comments and submissions which are totally counter-productive to the promotion of our community.
The Voice will also provide daily breaking news, features, information and advertisements at a website for all our virtual friends.
So now, Mini-Cassia, starting today, you can have the best of both worlds – business and news – online and in print – right here in The Voice and at www.minicassiavoice.com.
Won’t you take just a few minutes each week to look us over? We’d love to hear from you. Tell us how you like this news and advertising paper.
If there are any events you want posted on our calendar…if you have a news tip… or if you have something you need published for the community to know about, please call any of us at 1-208-878-NEWS (6397), email us at news@minicassiavoice.com, or even better yet, stop by our office at 1246 Overland Avenue, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and tell us how we can better serve you. If you will do this, I’m certain we are bound to become best of friends.
We are also providing a drop box where you can leave suggestions and tips if you stop by and find no one in the office because we are all out serving our community.
Have a beautiful day, today and everyday!
