Lions donate to youth organizations

BURLEY – The Burley Lions Club recently donated over $18,000 to local civic and school groups for

their help with the Spudman Triathlon. Each July, the Spudman attracts over 1,800 participants, and all net proceeds are donated back to Lion’s sight and hearing programs, other charitable programs and
the community.

The Burley High LEO Club received a donation of $1,000. The LEO Club is a self- directed service club of

Burley High School students who volunteer with community projects and donate items to the school or where needed in the community. LionKent Fletcher is the club advisor.

The Burley High Volleyball program received a donation of $1,500. Pictured are Burley Lion First Vice President Tadd Richman, Coach Tiffany Green, Team Member Delta Jones and Lions President Kelly Bowen.

 

The group also made donations to the Burley High School Bel Cantos Choir and to the Burley High School volleyball program.
